What is the Guisborough Skatepark Project?
To create a recreational facility for the skating and BMX-riding youth of Guisborough. The project would create a safe and controlled environment for wheeled sports, and form a vibrant focal point for the community, based on mutual respect.
How will the project contribute to the local area and population?
Promoting wheeled sports in the community within a positive environment, will improve fitness and well-being of its users. On completion, a wheeled sports venue would also function as a meeting and social space that would alleviate issues caused by antisocial behaviour and lead to a reduction in street crime.
Improved facilities at Guisborough will also benefit surrounding areas, encouraging visitors from out-of-town and bring assistance to local businesses.

You can help by turning up to the local meetings held at Belmont House, Guisborough and voicing your support, times for the next meetings are displayed on the right hand side of the website.
